✦English Translation
When intellect (dhi), willpower (dhriti), and memory (smriti) are impaired, one commits unwholesome actions - this is Prajnaparadha (crime against wisdom). It is the root cause of all diseases. Examples include: knowing something is harmful yet doing it anyway, suppressing natural urges, not following proper routines, and excessive sensory indulgence.
